"A vote for Rupi Kanda-Rajwan is a positive vote for education. Rupi would share her passion, determination, and educational and business experience with the other School Trustees and stakeholders, when setting policies and making educational decisions, that will impact the children in our community. Rupi’s energy and confidence, albeit she is very humble, combined with her sincere interpersonal and communication skills, come from her many years of working in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. When she takes on a task, she devotes herself to it. Vis-à-vis her endless fundraising activities, our children and other community members have already benefitted greatly. Her willingness to collaborate and to listen also ensure that she will make an exceptional contribution as a School Trustee in Abbotsford."

"Rupi is precisely what our community needs. Every community has people with a passion for children and education, which Rupi, of course, has, but what she also has that we need is an incredible ability to make things happen & get things done. Her determination to make a difference is uncommon in many public offices. She has been part of the Abbotsford Minor Fastball Association for over a year. She is a force for good, making her impact by brining our purpose – to connect our community and allow children to explore the joy of sport – too many businesses to ensure more kids are engaging in sport. My personal endorsement is centered on her kind-hearted nature and care for others. My professional endorsement is based on her willingness to get involved, the energy she brings into a room, and her uncanny ability to connect with people. She has the educational background required to make an impact as a dynamic school trustee, but her interpersonal skills will set her apart.

"I am supporting Rupi Rajwan in her endeavors to be a school trustee. I met Rupi during the flood here in the Fraser Valley.  She worked very hard in getting support out to as many people as possible. Rupi coordinated between several groups. She was instrumental in getting food out to the flood victims. She organized sand bagging groups and also the delivery of sandbags.  She found volunteers and distributed them to areas of most need.  Rupi coordinated collections of clothing, bedding. School supplies etc.  She worked diligently with many different churches and organizations, such as Red Cross. Yarrow Food Hub, Gateway Church and the Good Samaritans.  She tirelessly posted opportunities and needs on FACEBOOK and other social media sites in efforts to get volunteers and supplies. I wholeheartedly endorse her for school trustee, as I know she'll work hard to support education and our students."

"I met rupi years ago. I remember the day I met her at a strong start program where I would take my 2 Littles at the time. I'm so thankful she came apart our life. She was always super knowledgeable about kids. She gave me great advice throughout the years. Especially when 2 of my kids were in her care at her daycare. I could always count on her for advice and learned so much from her. She's made an impact in our life forever. She's always been patient, kind, knowledgeable, fun, creative the list could go on. She's definitely someone I've looked up too and so appreciate her! When I heard she was applying to be a school trustee I couldn't think of anyone better for it. She has the kindest heart and I feel like she would be the BEST person and anyone could fully trust her. Rupi you rock, and you deserve this chance."

"I have known Rupi for almost 20 years and I can honestly say that I have never met anyone like her. This young woman is a go getter! She is always on the go learning and teaching. I met her back in 2004 when she began working at Archway Community Services(formerly Abbotsford Community Services) she was always full if energy and looking for ideas to promote our programs and support our families. She volunteered for every community event and fundraiser.  Rupi moved on from Archway but always stayed connected. She would check in and invite us staff to her community events and fundraisers. I felt so proud to be her friend when she started a sock and comfort item donation event. She partnered with Willow View farms and ran this successful event for many years to support the homeless in our community. Rupi continues to collect items and fundraise for Archway programs and our at risk youth. She has donated to the Foundry program, Best for Babies and many more. Education has always been important to Rupi, not only for herself but for others. She began with childcare and preschool while continuing to expand her schooling. She brought joy and a desire to learn and do more to her students. She encouraged a love for community and empathy in her students. In her eyes they are all super heros and can accomplish great things.  Rupi didn't stop there she would encourage anyone she met including youth that she would meet in the community to reach for success and tell them ways they could do this. Rupi would make a fabulous school trustee. Her devotion to children and youth is amazing and her passion and drive will be asset to the school district.

"I whole heartedly endorse Rupi Rajwan to be elected as a School Trustee for the Abbotsford School District.  I have known Rupi and her family for most of my adult life, but it wasn’t until we volunteered together in youth sports that I realized how strong of a passion Rupi has for our youth and their wellbeing.  Rupi has always put children at the top of her priority list and what is in their best interests, whether that be in sports, school or at home.  Her volunteer time, experience in the child care industry, high level of integrity, and drive to succeed make her the ideal candidate.  I am excited to see the impact that a motivated, hard working person like Rupi can do in our education system.  I wish her all the best with her new endeavors."
